Service Guide
Structured therapy in a dedicated facility
Clinic-based ABA therapy takes place at the provider's facility rather than in your home or school. Clinics are purpose-built environments with designated therapy rooms, observation areas, and spaces for group activities. Sessions are structured, consistent, and usually delivered in dedicated 2-4 hour blocks. Many families find that clinic environments reduce distractions and allow for more intensive, focused skill-building than is possible at home.
Clinic-based ABA works well for children who benefit from structured, predictable environments, who need peer interaction opportunities, or whose families find it easier to have a dedicated time and place for therapy outside the home. It is commonly used for children who are working on foundational skills in communication, attention, and self-regulation.
At a typical clinic, your child will work one-on-one with a registered behavior technician (RBT) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Sessions typically involve structured teaching activities, natural environment teaching embedded in play, and frequent data collection. Parents are usually invited to observe sessions and participate in parent training to reinforce skills at home.
